 History

The first Salt'n Pepper Restaurant was established in 1983 by hotelier/restaurant entrepreneur Mr. Mahmood Akbar, considered by many as the pioneer hotelier and restaurateur in Pakistan.

The organization, which has it’s headquarter in Lahore, prides itself on developing Pakistan's first chain of restaurants the Salt'n Pepper Restaurants. For 29 years, the group's focus has been to provide their guests with an exceptional dinning experience each and every time they visit. The group's profile includes expertise in Pakistani & Continental cuisine, along with Fast Food.

The organization primarily operates eight different Salt'n Pepper Restaurants across Pakistan - each offering a unique dinning experience. The group’s chronology of success is as follows:

1983:             Salt’n Pepper Restaurants

The Salt’n Pepper Restaurant in Liberty Market and on the Mall in Lahore, are considered to be the first proper family style restaurants in the food and beverage industry of Pakistan. These restaurants pride itself for being symbolized as an eatery with a customer loyalty spanning over two generations, and as a restaurant model these have inspired the set-up of numerous other restaurants across Pakistan.

1992:             Salt’n Pepper Village Restaurants

The Salt’n Pepper Village Restaurants in Lahore and Karachi are considered to be the restaurant that revolutionized dinning experiences in Pakistan. The Village offers classic and modern sub-continental dishes in a buffet style dinning. The Village is an acclaimed restaurant brand, credited with the promotion of the Pakistani cuisine and the revival of some old recipes. The Village Lahore has a seating capacity of 400 guests, whereas The Village Karachi has a seating capacity of 500 plus. These two restaurants have hosted countless lunches and dinners for local and foreign dignitaries and celebrities like the late Lady Diana, late prime minister of Pakistan M’s Benazir Bhutto, ex-president of Pakistan Gen. (r) Pervez Musharraf, Jemima Goldsmith and many more. The Village Restaurants are considered to be a very popular eatery among the citizens of Lahore and Karachi.

2005:               Salt’n Pepper Grill

The Salt’n Pepper Grill is a restaurant serving grilled meat, poultry and sea food. The restaurant has a seating capacity of 450 plus guests, and is located in Gulberg Lahore.

2005:             Sukh Cha’n Wellness Club

The Sukh Cha’n Wellness Club has more than 5000 permanent and non-permanent members, and has been rated as the leading lifestyles club in Pakistan. The club comprises of amenities and facilities like gymnasiums, spa, swimming pool, squash court, sauna/steam baths, movie theatre, pool/billiards, salons and a restaurant.

2005:             Salt'n Pepper Café

Salt'n Pepper Café is located inside Pakistan’s most advanced health club, the Sukh Cha'n Wellness Club, in Lahore. Salt'n Pepper Café serves Pakistani and continental cuisine.it has seating both inside and outside by the swimming pool which make is a ideal place for an       evening out.

2007:             Salt’n Pepper Banquet Hall (Anarkali Lounge)

The Anarkali Lounge is an all seasons’ event hall located on the top of the Sukh Cha’n Wellness club. The hall has a guest capacity of 400 plus and hosts all sorts of events and happenings from parties to wedding ceremonies and product launches etc.

2010:             Salt' n Pepper Faisal Town:

Upon the frequent requests by the valuable customers around Faisal Town, Johar Town, Model Town, Garden Town and their vicinities the Salt’n Pepper has launched this lovely branch which is situated near the Akbar Chowk. The customers find the same experience of high quality food and hospitality as of Liberty or The Mall branch with affordable prices. This branch is becoming more and more popular especially among families.

2012:              Salt'n Pepper Franchise Islamabad        

Another milestone and another achievement by Salt n Pepper Restaurants. The opening of its first franchised restaurant at the prime location of Blue Area, Islamabad. This restaurant has 250 plus seating with an eye catching exterior and a state of the art interior. It also has a huge parking area.

The restaurant has seating on ground floor and the first floor. It also has a rooftop garden with Al Fresco seating and a live B.B.Q. & Pakistani Kitchen.

The restaurant also offers a separate children menu and also has a Children Play Area.

The menu is the same as Lahore Salt n Pepper s and most important of all the same unbelievable prices as Lahore.
